Terms and Conditions for Bayana Rent Car – Morocco

Welcome to Bayana Rent Car! By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your rental.

1. Rental Requirements

1.1. Driver’s Age & License

  • The renter must be at least 21 years old (or 25 years for certain vehicle categories).
  • A valid driver’s license (held for at least 2 years) is required. International licenses are accepted alongside a national license if necessary.

1.2. Identification & Payment

  • A passport or national ID is required.
  • A valid credit or debit card in the renter’s name must be provided for security deposit purposes.

2. Rental Period & Extensions

2.1. Rental Duration

  • The minimum rental period is 24 hours.
  • A grace period of 1 hour is allowed for late returns. After that, an extra day may be charged.

2.2. Extensions

  • If you wish to extend the rental, you must inform Bayana Rent Car at least 24 hours in advance and obtain approval. Additional charges may apply.

3. Vehicle Usage & Restrictions

3.1. Authorized Drivers

  • Only drivers listed on the rental contract are allowed to drive the vehicle.

3.2. Usage Restrictions
The renter must not:

  • Use the vehicle for illegal activities or off-road driving.
  • Smoke inside the car (a cleaning fee will be charged if violated).
  • Carry more passengers than the vehicle’s allowed capacity.
  • Drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair driving ability.

3.3. Travel Outside Morocco

  • The vehicle cannot be taken outside Morocco without written permission from Bayana Rent Car.

4. Insurance & Liability

4.1. Insurance Coverage

  • The rental includes basic insurance (third-party liability).
  • Additional insurance (collision damage waiver, theft protection, etc.) can be purchased at extra cost.

4.2. Damages & Accidents

  • In case of an accident, the renter must immediately inform Bayana Rent Car and the local authorities.
  • The renter is responsible for damages not covered by insurance (including negligence or contract violations).

4.3. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required at the time of rental. It will be refunded within 7 days after the vehicle is returned in good condition.

5. Fuel Policy

  • The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of rental.
  • If returned with less fuel, a refueling charge will apply.

6. Fines, Tolls & Penalties

  • The renter is responsible for any traffic fines, parking tickets, or toll charges incurred during the rental period.
  • If fines are not paid, Bayana Rent Car reserves the right to charge the renter’s credit card, including administrative fees.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may result in partial or no refunds.

8. Return of Vehicle

  • The vehicle must be returned on time and in the same condition as received.
  • Late returns without prior notice may incur additional charges.
  • If the vehicle is excessively dirty, a cleaning fee may be applied.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These terms and conditions are governed by Moroccan law.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Morocco.
